SAME Architects was founded in Braga more than 15 years ago, born of two ways of looking at architecture: the rigour of the drawing and the care for the place. Today the studio brings together a multidisciplinary team that signs premium residential projects, interior design and public buildings across Portugal, the Middle East and Asia.
We believe every home is a portrait. So before drawing, we listen: to the site, to the light, to the routine of those who will live there. From that listening a language of our own emerges, made of quiet proportions, honest materials, and details that reveal themselves with time.
Over the years we have been asked to design single-family villas, multi-family residential buildings, boutique hotels, schools and retail spaces. Each commission is approached with the same curiosity as the very first project: as a new problem, with a new client, in a singular place.
We keep a close relationship with the construction site. The project is coordinated from the early sketch to the handover of the keys, in constant dialogue with contractors, product designers, landscape architects and local craftsmen. This commitment to detail, schedule and budget is what has earned us the trust of clients who come back to us, time and again.
Today, with offices in Braga and active partnerships in Dubai, Riyadh and Lisbon, SAME Architects continues to pursue the same ambition that founded it: to design homes that age well.
